[ SOLUTION ] Lenovo G580 Keyboard not Working Windows 8

In Lenovo G580 after entering the initial request for password (successfully), the keyboard is non-functional.  With the exception of the windows scroll key, no other keys work. We have possible solutions here.

Solution 1:

If the keyboard works fine on the windows login screen, it's probably the Filter keys that's causing your issue not the keyboard driver. Filter keys ignore or slow down brief or repeated keystrokes and adjust keyboard repeat rates. To see if Filter keys is turned ON, check the notification area for Filter Keys:

To turn off Filter Keys, navigate to Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center > Make the keyboard easier to use > uncheck Turn on Filter Keys then hit apply.

Solution 2:

• Shut down the laptop
• Remove AC & then remove battery also
• Press power button for 15 secs
• Plug in AC only
