MacBook Pro has a trouble since the most recent El Capitan (10.11.5) update. It will not shut down unless hold down the power button and complete a hard stop. You may also can not log out of your person account and access to work profile. It get hung up logging out and force shut down is required.
We have a possible solution for you.
Outdated software for a Wacom tablet can prevent shutdown. If you no longer use the device, please remove the software. Otherwise, update it to the latest version from the manufacturer's website.
According to some reports, after following the removal instructions linked above, you may also need to open the Users & Groups pane in System Preferences, select the Login Items tab, and delete any Wacom-related items. If true, the uninstaller is defective, we can't confirm.
