Problem :
The computer think the old Home Group, which is no longer in use, is still there. It keeps asking for the old password which was given to it but then after running trying to verify the password it comes back and advises to open a new home group. Unfortunately you cannot because every time you open the home group it invites you to join an existing home group which no longer exists. I cannot determine how to delete the old home group or references to it. Does anybody know how to do this.
Solution:
You can open the folder C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking
and clear all the files and folders inside.
